apocevil: Arch Linux with KDE 4.7 - First time installing Arch Linux. Very impressed so far with this OS. From 2002 I was using only SuSE on all my PC's, but from now on things are about to change. Arch Package Manager "Pacman" is very good. Many think that the installation of Arch is difficult, for me it was one of the easiest to install, and at the end I started to work with a great OS build on my preferences. Kde icon theme - Kfaenza kde-look.org Window Decoration - FormaN kde-look.org Desktop Theme - Glassified opendesktop.org All those themes can be installed automatically from the Kde Control Panel. Go to Icon Theme and search for Kfaenza, Desktop Theme and search for Glassified Theme and also go to Window Decoration and search for FormaN. And install them by clicking the install button. To have the same look for GTK applications as the KDE applications install with pacman the package oxygen-gtk. $ pacman -S oxygen-gtk

Mint 10 KDE does to the most recent version of KDE, what the main edition does to GNOME and that is provide a user friendly experience with best of the breed applications, and this release succeeds in doing that. KDE 4.6 is a major milestone in itself, bringing several enhancements that increase performance dramatically. Definitely the best performing KDE release so far...but Pardus 2011 has the slight edge on Mint 10 with its polish and configuration tools.
